COLD CHAMBER / MT850
MT850 Die Casting Machine
MT850 selection should use the dimensions and injection fields belonging to this model. Within the MT cold chamber family, it provides an option for aluminum, magnesium and copper alloy enquiries. Bring the tooling assembly and complete metal requirement together before arranging auxiliaries or deciding the cell footprint.

Work from the installed tool stack
MT850 specifies a 400-950 mm mould height range. Compare the complete installed die with that window, including mounting plates and permanent adapters. Across the tooling area, the platen is 1400x1400 mm and tie bar spacing is 925x925 mm. These dimensions answer different fit questions and should both appear on the assembly review. Mark the tool loading direction and any projecting slides or fittings. Some connections may be attached after installation, but their production positions still need room for access and maintenance. A drawing that distinguishes loading from operation can reveal constraints that a closed front view misses. Describe existing tooling interfaces if this project involves moving a die rather than designing the tool specifically for the proposed machine.

Clarify the injection requirement through the tool design
The MT850 injection plunger diameter range is 80-120 mm, and injection force is listed at 750 KN. Relate the proposed injection arrangement to the full metal system, not only the final component. Runner, overflow and biscuit requirements influence the shot that enters the tool. Identify the alloy and provide the gate concept with the casting drawing. The injection stroke is 750 mm, while the table also contains pressure and casting area fields that should be considered with the chosen plunger. Keep the machine specification available during that discussion so the relationship between fields is not lost. If the runner design is still preliminary, explain what remains open. That gives the enquiry a defined technical question instead of an assumed capacity match based on part weight alone.

Make removal clearance a visible requirement
The MT850 lists a 760 mm clamping stroke and 180 mm ejection stroke. These create different movements in the production sequence. Draw the opened die, the casting at release and the intended gripper approach. A runner or projecting boss may determine the withdrawal direction even when the trimmed part is comparatively simple. Include slide positions and hose connections in that drawing, so the path is checked against the actual tool surroundings. Spraying also occupies the open tooling area and needs access to the relevant die surfaces. If both extraction and spraying will be automated, describe their respective working and waiting positions. Existing auxiliaries should be identified with their reach and connection information to make the compatibility discussion more concrete.

Allow the production cell to extend beyond the machine
The MT850 dimensions are 9.4x2.6x3.6 m, and the listed machine weight is 39500 KG. Share this information with the installation team along with the building access plan. The overall production space also includes furnace placement, ladling movement, discharge equipment and room for service. The 37 KW motor entry belongs to the machine; utilities for separately selected peripherals should be reviewed in addition. Show the incoming metal route and the destination of the casting after extraction. Temperature control and release agent supply need practical connections to their respective tasks. An MT850 quotation request should include the component revision, alloy, mould dimensions and complete shot requirement. Attach a floor plan where available and identify the equipment you intend to retain. A useful preliminary layout identifies equipment that cannot move, such as an existing furnace or downstream station. Place those constraints on the drawing before comparing alternative positions for the machine, so the cell discussion starts with the real limits of the site.
