METAL TRANSFER / AUTO LADLE
Auto Ladle Die Casting
An auto ladle connects the furnace and shot sleeve in a cold chamber die casting cell. Plan the transfer path around your machine, molten metal supply and available working space.

Map the transfer before selecting the ladler
Begin with the location of the furnace and the position of the machine feeding point. Show how metal reaches the sleeve and where the ladler travels between those positions. The route needs to be considered alongside die access, extraction equipment and the space used by personnel. A floor plan helps explain the arrangement more clearly than a machine model alone. Add any physical obstructions or existing equipment that constrain the approach to either end of the transfer.

Explain the shot requirement with the alloy
Name the alloy and describe the metal requirement for the casting and its feed system. The ladling task belongs to the complete shot, rather than to the finished component weight in isolation. Include the intended casting machine and any available injection information in the enquiry. If the project replaces a feeding device, explain how the current transfer is arranged and which parts of that arrangement must stay. This allows the discussion to address the actual feeding job.

Coordinate movement with the surrounding equipment
The ladler shares the cell with other moving equipment. Auto sprayers approach the die, extractors remove castings and conveyors carry parts onward. Show their working areas on the same drawing as the metal transfer route. Identify the positions needed for routine access to the furnace and machine. Where equipment will be retained, provide its dimensions and connection details. An equipment list becomes easier to review when the role and working area of each item are visible.

Build an enquiry around the feeding arrangement
YOMATO lists auto ladlers within its die casting auxiliary equipment range. To discuss a configuration, send the machine model, alloy, furnace details, proposed transfer route and project location. Include a photograph or layout of the existing cell if it helps explain access. State whether the enquiry concerns a new line or a replacement feeding device. Review furnace placement and extraction needs at the same time so the proposed ladling arrangement fits the wider cell plan.
Photographs from both sides of the feeding area can help explain restricted approaches. Mark their viewing direction on the layout so the transfer discussion uses a consistent picture of the site.
