TOOLING / DIE CASTING MOULD
Die Casting Mould
YOMATO offers aluminum die casting moulds alongside die casting machines and cell equipment. Begin the tooling discussion with the component drawing, material and intended machine interface.

Define the component before the tool envelope
The part drawing explains the geometry the mould needs to produce. Identify functional surfaces, assembly features and the operations planned after casting. Name the alloy and keep the drawing revision clear. Where finishing or machining will change a surface, include that information in the tooling brief. The complete requirement helps connect the cavity discussion with ejection, handling and downstream work. A description of the application adds context to the dimensions shown on the drawing.
02 / SERIES
Connect the assembled mould to the press
The machine carries the complete tool, including plates, slides and projecting connections. Prepare the mould envelope and mounting arrangement alongside the component drawing. Discuss tie bar clearance, platen interface, installed height and opening needs with the proposed machine. The dimensions of the finished part cannot answer those installation questions by themselves. Show how the tool will be loaded, secured and reached for service so the machine and mould conversation uses the same physical arrangement.
03 / SERIES
Describe how the casting will leave the cavity
Ejection and removal need space beyond the closed tool. Identify the intended opening direction and the path taken by the casting and runner system. If extraction equipment is part of the project, show where it approaches and where it releases the part. Explain any features that influence support or gripping. Those details help relate the mould to the handling task and provide a clearer brief for the equipment that operates around the open die.
04 / SERIES
Keep tooling and cell requirements together
A mould enquiry can sit within a broader machine or turnkey cell project. Include the intended press, alloy, component drawing and floor arrangement where available. Describe temperature control, spraying, extraction and trimming work that needs to be considered with the tool. Identify existing equipment to be retained and the interfaces it provides. This gives the tooling discussion a practical setting and allows the quotation scope to distinguish the mould itself from the surrounding equipment and services.
Keep any established tooling interface drawing with the enquiry. It allows the discussion of mounting, connections and handling access to refer to the same version of the complete mould assembly.
